We are looking for an experienced distribution team members to join us as we open a new 800k sq. ft. facility in Gardner KS. The facility will begin operations in March of 2025. This facility will be top of network and also provide product directly to customers.
The new site will be located at 30700 w. 183rd, Gardner, KS 66030
Under general supervision, inspects work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety policies and regulations.
Documents safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures. Assists in maintaining safety equipment supply and availability. Samples and analyzes for possible exposure to hazards such as chemicals, smoke, fumes, gases, vapors, noise and lighting. Assists in applying safety policies and procedures and in employee safety training. Maintains assigned files and records including material safety data sheets and other paperwork ensuring compliance. May assist with hazardous material programs, assuring all hazardous materials are received, handled, shipped, stored, labeled and disposed of in accordance with company and government regulations. May interface with regulatory agencies.
Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A two year degree or equivalent is preferred. Requires at least 2 years related experience.
Requires developing understanding and ability to train others in company, state and federal safety policies and regulations. Able to train others in correct use of safety equipment. Must have practical knowledge of biology, environmental science, chemistry, or a closely related field. Must have developing skills in the operation of a variety of lab equipment, generators, pumps, gauges, and other common tools. Must have the ability to perform control calculations. Must be able to produce quality, accurate work. Must be able to detect and correct errors. Requires effective written and verbal communication.
